He graduated in architecture from the Escuela de Arquitectura de Barcelona in 1971 . He is a member of the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de Sant Jordi .
Professor of architectural design at the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña and director of architecture courses at the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo in Santander , as well as a member of the Council of the School of Architecture of the Ramon Llull University .
Among the best-known European architects, he achieved fame at a European and international level by designing the Hotel Villa Olimpica and the Olympic Village of the Hebrón Valley in Barcelona for the 1992 Olympics .
